About the Program

Age-Appropriate Classes

Little Inspirations offers a range of introductory dance classes for children ages 2.5-6. Our classes are specifically designed to cater to the developmental stages of young children, ensuring that each class is engaging and suitable for their age group.

Foundational Dance Techniques

Our program focuses on fun, exploration, and foundational dance techniques. Basic dance skills are introduced in a way that is accessible and understandable for young children, emphasizing coordination, balance, and rhythm to provide a well-rounded foundation.

Nurturing Environment

Classes are designed to be playful and nurturing, promoting a positive first experience with dance. Our supportive and encouraging atmosphere helps build confidence and self-esteem, ensuring that children feel safe and valued as they explore the world of dance.

2024-25 Schedule

Depending on the location, classes are separated by age group or by age range. Regardless of location, the age of the dancer must match the dance level. Dancers should be the age of the class or range by September 1.

For example, if you have a four-year-old dancer and they are going to the Franklin Park location, they can sign up for a pre-primary level class and will only be in that level for a year before leveling up to the primary level the next year when they are 5. If they are a 4-year-old in Newark, they would sign up for the Pre-Primary B class for our four-year-olds only. Think of it similar to school and the grade that your dancer is in—if they are 6, they generally are in the 1st grade even once they turn 7 while in that class.

Pathways for Little Inspirations Dancers

The Little Inspirations Division offers three distinct pathways designed to cater to the varying needs and developmental stages of young dancers. Each pathway provides a unique approach to dance education, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore, grow, and develop their skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our holistic approach allows families to choose the intensity and commitment level that best fits their dancer’s schedule and evolving interests. Pathways can be adjusted at any time to accommodate changing needs and preferences.

Emerge Pathway

For our dancers that want a low commitment schedule as an InSpira Little Inspiration dancer. This is a great pathway for our dancers that are either new to dance or who are involved in many extra-curricular activities and can't commit to multiple classes. Classes meet once a week.

Enhance Pathway

Our Enhance Pathway is for our Little Inspiration dancers that want to get more involved in dance and start down our developmental pathway. This allows young dancers to explore more than one structured dance class. Classes meet once a week each, and our dancers choose two dance disciplines, introducing more dance styles while maintaining a playful environment and not an intense schedule.

Elite Pathway

For our oldest Little Inspiration dancers (ages 5-6), we offer a pathway in which our Little Inspiration dancers are able to have a full schedule, taking up to three to four classes a week. This pathway allows for a more rigorous introduction to various dance styles, preparing them for more advanced training while also not overwhelming them. This allows our dancers to really feel which disciplines they want to focus on or continue once in the InSpira EXPerience division.
